Hello and welcome to the Amelia County Volunteer Fire Department. We are a 100% volunteer department with 125 dedicated members, manning five stations throughout the county. The volunteers respond to fire & EMS emergencies and also assist our neighbors with mutual aid when needed. We are located 30 miles west of the city of Richmond, Va.

The passing of retired Lieutenant Frank Marsee CFD & EMS
It is with great sadness that we convey the passing of retired lieutenant Frank Marsee of the Chesterfield County Fire & EMS department. Frank had a long career with Chesterfield and also was part of educating hundreds of firefighters throughout the state of Virginia over the years. Franks passing was sudden on Saturday while hunting in Prince George County. Our condolences go out to the Marsee family and also to Frank’s fire department family in Chesterfield. The volunteers from Amelia are here for you if needed.
