Until we can update our pictures, I will list our equipment.

5 -Engines - All 1250 gpm pumps with 1000 gal. tanks
5 -1800 gallon tankers
5- Brush trucks
1-Heavy Rescue Truck with cascade system
1-EMS first responder unit
1-County fire car

 
 
Station 1


2008 Station 1

Station 1 is located in the court house area of Amelia County. Company 1 is the busiest station in the county because they asset all the other companies.

 
 
Brush 1


2004 Ford F-550

Brush 1 carries 300 gallons of water with a 10 gallon pre-piped foam system. One booster reel and one pre-connect 1 3/4 hand line. The unit also carries a full compliance of brush fire equipment.

 
 
Car 1


2002 2002 Ford Crown Vic.

Car 1 was given to the fire department by the county, it was a ex-police car. This vehicle is used by all five stations for training or what every the transportation need might be.

 
 
Engine 1 - The Work Horse


2000 Pierce Saber

Engine 1 is the work horse of the county, this unit is utilized on every working fire in the county. The engine carries a full compliance of fire and rescue equipment, and has a 1000 gal. tank with a 1250 gpm pump. The unit also has a 50 gallon foam tank.

 
 
Tanker 1


1999 Navistar 4900

Tanker 1 also carries a full compliance of fire equipment, 2- SCBA's, 2- 200 ' 1 3/4 cross lays, 1800 gallon tank with a 750 gpm pump. Quick dumps on both sides and 1 on the rear.

 
 
Engine 4


1995 1995 Pierce Saber

Engine 4 carries 1000 gallons of water with a 1250 gpm pump, the unit host a full compliance of equipment for fire and rescue.

 
 
Fire Rescue 1


1995 Navistar 4700

Fire Rescue 1 is the only heavy rescue truck in the county, this unit responds on all MVA's and working fires in the county along with the first due companies. The unit hosts a full compliance of fire and rescue tools, hurst pre-mounted pump with 2 pre-piped cord reels. Some of the tools it carries are rams, spreaders, o-cutterrs, low pressure and high pressure air bags, rescue jacks, cribbing, rope rescue gear and lots of other rescue equipment.The unit also has a full rechargeable cascade system onboard.

 
 
EMS 4


1991 Ford Explorer 4 x 4

EMS 4 carries both BLS and ALS equipment on board.

 
 
Tanker 4


1991 1991 International Custom DT466

Tanker 4 carries 1800 gallons of water and has a 750 gpm pump. The unit also host a minimal compliance of firefighting equipment and can also be used as an attack unit.

 
 
Brush 4


1979 Chevrolet 4 x 4

Brush 4 carries 150 gallons of water and a full compliance of brush firefighting equipment. This unit will be replaced in December of 2008, new brush 4 is almost ready for delivery.
